Joint study programmes in South Mediterranean region - perspectives and challenges from NTOs point of view based on the country experience
Dr. Yasser Elshayeb is the National TEMPUS Coordinator – Egypt, where Dr. Elshayeb is responsible for the Coordination, Promotion, dissemination and monitoring of TEMPUS activities in Egypt, in addition to the Participation in shaping the programme and assessing Egyptian Priorities with respect to Higher Education Cooperation with Europe.
Since 2002, Dr. Elshayeb have been very active in the development of the Egyptian Higher Education Enhancment programme, and have participated in various EU / Egypt committees and workgroups working on the harmonization of the Egyptian System to the European Bologna Process.
Dr. Elshayeb holds a permanent position of “Associate Professor of Rock Mechanics” at Cairo University, he holds a PhD of the INPL (Institut National Polytechnique de Lorraine, France), in Fuzzy Logic, Risk Assessment and Geotechnics, and he has obtained his B.SC. from the Mining Department at Cairo University in 1990.
