Europe and South Mediterranean Region – different aspects of cooperation, trends and perspectives for future joint initiatives
Johan Robberecht has an academic background in Political Science, Public Administration, Applied Sociology and European Studies. He holds MA degrees from Sciences Po Bordeaux (France), the University of Stuttgart (Germany) and the Jagiellonian University Cracow (Poland). In 2005, M. Robberecht started to work for an international consultancy advising major companies in public affairs and public relations. He then became administrator of a chamber orchestra before going back into European affairs as FP7 project manager for the European Disability Forum. Since 2010, M. Robberecht works at the Institut d'Etudes Européennes de l'Université Libre de Bruxelles (IEE-ULB) where he is central manager of the Erasmus Mundus Joint Doctorate on "Globalisation, Europe and Multilateralism" - EM GEM PhD School - (www.erasmusmundus-gem.eu), as well as manager and policy outreach officer for the IEE-ULB led activities of the GR:EEN FP7 Research project (www.greenfp7.eu).
